Model X MPGe Questions
Which Model X is the most efficient?
The 2026 Model X has the top EPA rating at 105 MPGe combined (110 city, 99 highway).
What's the range of the 2026 Model X?
The most efficient 2026 Model X is rated at 105 MPGe combined, which works out to 32.2 kWh per 100 miles. Its EPA range is 352 miles. Range across 2026 versions runs from 335 to 352 miles.
What does MPGe mean?
MPGe stands for miles per gallon equivalent. The EPA counts 33.7 kWh of electricity as one gallon of gasoline, so a rating of 105 MPGe means the 2026 Model X covers 105 miles on 33.7 kWh. kWh per 100 miles is the easier number for working out charging costs.
Why doesn't my Model X match the EPA numbers?
EPA ratings come from standardized tests so every EV is measured the same way. Cold weather, heater and AC use, highway speed, tire pressure and cargo all change how far a Model X goes on a charge. The ratings are best for comparing one model against another.

Where These Numbers Come From
This page was built by Cedrick Reese from the U.S. EPA fuel economy dataset on fueleconomy.gov, which holds 41 ratings for the Tesla Model X from 2016 to 2026. Each row in the table links to the matching EPA vehicle record, so you can check any figure against the source. Electric versions are rated in MPGe, the EPA's miles-per-gallon equivalent, and the table also shows their official range. When the EPA posts an updated file with new model years or corrected ratings, this page is rebuilt from it. The cost calculator uses your electricity rate you enter rather than a national average, so the result fits where you live.
Ratings on this page come from the EPA file downloaded on October 1, 2026.
