I-Pace MPGe Questions
Which I-Pace is the most efficient?
The 2023 and 2024 I-Pace EV400 (20 inch tires) has the top EPA rating at 85 MPGe combined (89 city, 82 highway).
What's the range of the 2024 I-Pace?
The most efficient 2024 I-Pace EV400 (20 inch tires) is rated at 85 MPGe combined, which works out to 39.5 kWh per 100 miles. Its EPA range is 246 miles. Range across 2024 versions runs from 217 to 246 miles.
What does MPGe mean?
MPGe stands for miles per gallon equivalent. The EPA counts 33.7 kWh of electricity as one gallon of gasoline, so a rating of 85 MPGe means the 2024 I-Pace EV400 (20 inch tires) covers 85 miles on 33.7 kWh. kWh per 100 miles is the easier number for working out charging costs.
Why doesn't my I-Pace match the EPA numbers?
EPA ratings come from standardized tests so every EV is measured the same way. Cold weather, heater and AC use, highway speed, tire pressure and cargo all change how far a I-Pace goes on a charge. The ratings are best for comparing one model against another.

Where These Numbers Come From
Every figure on this page comes from the U.S. EPA fuel economy dataset on fueleconomy.gov, pulled together by Cedrick Reese. The file lists 7 ratings for the Jaguar I-Pace from 2019 to 2024. Each row in the table links to the matching EPA vehicle record, so you can check any figure against the source. Electric versions are rated in MPGe, the EPA's miles-per-gallon equivalent, and the table also shows their official range. When the EPA posts an updated file with new model years or corrected ratings, this page is rebuilt from it. The cost calculator uses your electricity rate you enter rather than a national average, so the result fits where you live.
Ratings on this page come from the EPA file downloaded on October 1, 2026.
