I actually agree that GPM on national level is a more meaningful number in terms of actual oil usage, etc. However, I am approaching this from a smaller, different perspective. I am looking at the impact on an individual or family. I want every one of my readers to feel that ANYTHING they do will lead to another success, then another success, etc. --- because it will. I keep thinking of the explanation that driving from one coast to another at night. The actual distance you can see with your headlights is only a few hundred feet, but if you concentrate on just going that next couple of hundred feet, you can eventually go the whole distance. Looking at it from this side, any thing that makes those 200 feet seem too insignificant to worry about will derail people as they are first starting out. A good habit needs to be carefully nurtured, not made insignificant by statistics. Please feel free to fire back or add another dimension. We need to start and keep people talking!
